Darin McKeever named CEO of the William Davidson Foundation

From the 1 January 2018, Darin McKeever, will succeed Jonathan Aaron as President and CEO of the US-based William Davidson Foundation. McKeever joined the foundation in April 2015 as Chief Programme and Strategy Officer.

Prior to his current post, McKeever worked for the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, where he led an international team charged with improving the effectiveness of philanthropy worldwide.

‘It is an honor and a privilege to serve as the president and CEO of the William Davidson Foundation’, McKeever says. ‘I am grateful for the trust the board has placed in me and proud to lead the foundation in their name.’

Jonathan Aaron, chairman of the board of directors commented, ‘I am forever grateful for Mr. Davidson’s confidence in my leadership and the trust he placed in me to lead the foundation in its infancy… As Darin steps into his new role as president, I look forward to working with him, the staff and my fellow board members as we continue to honour our founder and his philanthropic vision.’

The William Davidson Foundation is a private family foundation established in 2005. It has an endowment of $1.2 billion and McKeever will lead a team of seventeen professional staff. The foundation  aims to advance the economic, cultural and civic vitality of Southeast Michigan, the State of Israel, and the Jewish community.

Among other roles, McKeever is a board member of Alliance Publishing Trust, the publisher of Alliance magazine.
