GrantCraft guide on funding community organizing

Many funders, concerned about the ability to measure its impact and effectiveness, shy away from community organizing, yet many who do fund it say it’s the best way to promote civic engagement and lasting solutions to a community’s problems. This new GrantCraft guide, Funding Community Organizing: Social change through civic participation, provides a grounding in the basics of community organizing as well as examples of what the work can accomplish in different fields and communities. Funders and organizers discuss what makes community organizing effective, how to manage grantee relationships over time, understanding the value of process, and the grantmaker’s special role in fostering change.
