Foundation Center - Grantsfire agreement brings ‘real time grants information’ a step closer

Grantsfire, a web-based system which takes recently published grants information from foundation websites or direct feeds, has entered into an agreement with the US-based Foundation Center to augment the Center’s current sources of data. Funded in part by the Charles Stewart Mott Foundation, Grantsfire was developed to share grants knowledge through an open, machine-readable, web-based ‘hGrants’ format which is easy to use. It will become part of the Foundation Center's existing electronic grant reporting system, used by 450 foundations throughout the world.
