Geneva Global expands European services
Philanthropic adviser Geneva Global has expanded its services for European philanthropists. Geneva Global placed $23 million in philanthropic investments into the developing world in 2006, with $66 million in grants researched in 2007 representing over 200 projects (mostly multi-year). In May, Geneva Global opened its UK headquarters in London in conjunction with an event at the House of Lords commemorating the 200th anniversary of the end of the transatlantic slave trade and honouring those fighting modern forms of slavery like child labour and trafficking of women and children.
Recently, Steve Beck, Geneva Global’s CEO, spoke to Barclays’ European private clients on effective philanthropy at a conference in Italy, as well as addressing family philanthropists at a Campden conference in London. In addition, Geneva Global has been selected by Coutts Private Bank as a network philanthropy provider to assist Coutts’ clients in making effective philanthropic investments. With the addition of Geneva-based Nigel Majakari as head of advisory for Europe, Geneva Global is making continuous investments in the European team to ensure top quality services for European philanthropists.
