Nearly a third of US non-profits have only enough cash to cover a month’s expenses

Only 12 per cent of a surveyed 900 US non-profit organizations expect to end the year with an operating surplus, compared with 40 per cent who ended their most recent fiscal years with money in hand, according to research by the Nonprofit Finance Fund.
