New findings from the Johns Hopkins Center for Civil Society Studies

That the value of volunteering for civil society organizations outdistances the value of gifts of cash to these organizations by almost 1.5 to 1, and in some countries this reaches 3 to 1. These findings come from the first ‘satellite accounts’ on the non-profit sector and philanthropy produced by countries in compliance with the UN Handbook on Nonprofit Institutions.
