Omidyar launches Africa Transparency and Technology Initiative

Philanthropic investment firm the Omidyar Network is to provide $2 million over two years to set up the Africa Transparency and Technology Initiative (ATTI). The Nairobi-based fund is one of a number of initiatives Omidyar has supported over the past two years under its so-called Government Transparency investment area, which is developing technology and media platforms to provide citizens with the information they need to hold their governments accountable.
