Acumen opens offices in Pakistan and India

Acumen Fund, the global non-profit venture fund, turned five years old in April. Its community now includes more than 100 partners who have contributed between $10,000 and $5 million. It has recently opened two new offices, in Pakistan and India, with an additional office in Africa also planned. Given its focus on the Pakistani and Indian diasporas, the expansion of the Fund’s donor base beyond the US will better serve both local donors and its investment teams.

Earlier this year it also launched the Acumen Fund Fellows Program. At the time of going to press, it is in the process of selecting eight to ten Fellows from around the world. They will spend one year working with Acumen’s team and with local entrepreneurs, gaining experience in price performance, logistics, distribution systems, scaling and innovative technology.
