Dasra: Digital philanthropy in India

Dasra is pleased to announce the launch of its online portal, the Knowledge Hub – a one-stop solution that provides data to enable informed giving decisions. The Knowledge Hub is a repository of information on causes, insights and social organizations which is easy to search and quick to access.

Currently, it houses the results of 16 years of in-depth research and sector intelligence derived from Dasra’s 48 research reports across 20 causes. It features 151 social organizations supporting work on adolescent girls, sanitation, governance, education, health, strategic giving and livelihoods. The platform is updated in real time with sector information, articles, blogs, announcements and partner NGO successes.

Knowledge Hub offers services such as:

  • Easy search for solutions on social issues that plague India
  • Smart filters to locate social organizations by programme focus, geography, registration, impact and scale

Through the Knowledge Hub, Dasra hopes to make it easier for philanthropists, foundations and companies to make decisions by providing them with the appropriate knowledge and resources. The platform also aims to leverage digital philanthropy and revolutionize the way people give.
