Ford Foundation president Susan Berresford has announced that she will retire in January 2008. Among other developments at Ford, she has presided over the expansion of its work on poverty reduction, human rights, peace building, governance reform, education and the arts, and the creation of the International Center for Transitional Justice, which helps societies emerging from conflict to create processes that promote justice and secure sustainable peace.
