Gates Award for Global Health

The Global Health Council is now accepting nominations for the 2009 Gates Award for Global Health. The award, worth $1 million, was established by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation to reward and showcase organizations that have made major and lasting contributions to the field of global health. The Council invites nominations of organizations – charitable, private or public – from any country that have improved the health and lives of people in need. The deadline for submissions is 31 October.
