GlobalGiving founds Impact Project

The Impact Project is a new initiative from GlobalGiving.co.uk, part-funded by the UK’s Department for International Development (DFID), which invests in the development of grassroots NGOs to help them increase their impact and unlock scale-up and growth funding.  It does this through a complete end-to-end service for funders, foundations and development agencies which helps them find, vet, develop and invest in high-potential grassroots NGOs across the developing world. Through an innovative use of volunteers and a combination of technology and in-country presence, the Impact Project can provide this service for less than £7,000 ($10,000) per organization served – a fraction of the cost of a traditional ‘incubator’ programme. The aim is to support 100 high-potential NGOs annually.
