Representing some 400 companies, Red Centroamericana de Responsibilidad Social Empresarial (Central American Network for Corporate Social Responsibility) met in June in Honduras to establish common policies for the region. Fundación Hondureña de Responsabilidad Social Empresarial (Honduras Foundation for Corporate Social Responsibility or FUNDAHRSE) hosted the event. According to FUNDAHRSE’s executive director, Roberto Leiva, ‘Another advantage of CSE is that a worker will prefer to work in a company where solidarity and loyalty are cultivated and where working conditions are better, benefiting the company, because there will be no employee turnover.’
