Nef study to look at mission-connected and mission-relating investments in Europe
A new study to be carried out by the UK’s New Economics Foundation (nef) will explore the opportunities for foundation investment in companies, activities and products which go beyond currently available screened (SRI) products, can be directly connected to foundations’ charitable purposes or mission, and are likely to provide a financial return at or very near to ‘mainstream’ investment returns.

The study, funded by Friends Provident Foundation, Charities Aid Foundation and the R & S Cohen Foundation, will review investment products available across the UK and Europe which could be seen as mission-connected for most foundations and will evaluate them according to social and financial return, risk, liquidity, and their fit with categories of charitable mission.
