In March this year, the Women’s Funding Network (WFN), an association of 94 foundations devoted to women and girls’ philanthropy, launched a new Venture Fund to expand the work of women’s and girls’ funds. Made possible by a grant from the W K Kellogg Foundation, the Fund will award up to $200,000 for each of the next four years to WFN members in one-year grants of between $10,000 and $25,000. The grants will support projects in areas such as educating donors about philanthropy and women’s issues, broadening support bases for women’s funds, and collaborative marketing and communications.
