The first edition of the new Philanthropic Leadership Platform took place this week as part of the European Foundation Centre’s (EFC) anniversary celebrations. The exchange focused on how philanthropic organisations can co-create, learn, adapt and scale lasting solutions to societal challenges.

The platform, coordinated in partnership with the Vladimir Potanin Foundation, brought together 20 participants from Russian and Europe to engage in group and plenary interaction, and active exchange with high-level experts and leaders of institutions in the public, private and voluntary sectors. The exchange was informed by opinion pieces about how philanthropy has evolved and future trends, specially commissioned by the EFC for their 30th anniversary

A reunion of alumni from the first four years of the Philanthropic Leadership Platform – China-Europe also took place this week which was launched by the EFC in partnership with China Global Philanthropy Institute in 2016, and is funded by Stiftung Mercator.
