Building Bridges: Philanthropy strengthening communities

Community foundations and other philanthropic intermediaries play a vital role in community philanthropy, yet many are unaware of their existence, says this report from the Policy Exchange. One of the key benefits of local giving, argues the report, is that donors can observe the impact of their giving and be reassured that their money is being used well. Involvement also brings added benefits in terms of civic engagement.
