The United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTD) at COP28 estimated that $500 billion is needed in developing countries in 2025 under the new finance goal to support climate action. UNCTD estimates this should then be scaled up to $1.55 trillion by 2030. Our panellists will dive into questions addressing the unique role philanthropy can play alongside civil society and government to invest in technologies and solutions to combat global warming and the disproportionate effects it has on the Global South.
