Arabella and Blueprint join forces in latest non-profit sector acquisition

On 4 May, US philanthropy advice organization Arabella Advisors announced the acquisition of Blueprint Research + Design Inc. The acquisition will increase Arabella’s reach and capabilities, giving it a San Francisco office in addition to its present offices in Chicago, Washington DC and New York. It will gain a West Coast team with decades of combined experience of helping donors achieve their missions, including Blueprint founder and president Lucy Bernholz. Blueprint’s  expertise with data-driven analysis will be added to Arabella’s armoury of consulting, evaluation, project implementation and foundation management services.

‘We share Arabella’s entrepreneurial spirit and a common vision of driving informed philanthropic investments that solve problems and bring about measurable change,’ says Lucy Bernholz. She will join Arabella as a half-time managing director at the same time as expanding her role at Stanford’s Center on Philanthropy and Civil Society, where she will be launching a research project on social sector policy as well as carrying on all her other writing on philanthropy, including her widely followed Philanthropy 2173 blog.
