As part of its Europe in the World initiative, the European Foundation Centre (EFC) is setting up a new working group of members to devise a practical guide to beginning or extending international grantmaking and operating activities for European foundations.

Members of the ‘Go International’ Working Group will meet for the first time this summer to begin work on developing the guide, which will focus particularly on those foundations with interests in global and development issues. It will address questions such as management, effectiveness, due diligence and accountability in the context of international philanthropy and will include examples of how some foundations have overcome barriers in this field of work.
