How creative are foundations, asks Effect

Foundations are at the cutting edge of creativity. Or are they? The spring 2008 issue of Effect, published by EFC, challenges this common assumption and asks whether foundations might too often fall into the trap of complacency and believing their own propaganda. Also in this edition, Effect focuses on Turkey, site of this year’s EFC Annual General Assembly, and its rich history of philanthropic involvement going back 500 years and more, and how Turkish foundations are demonstrating their strengths as forward-looking players in contemporary European philanthropy.
