The END Fund, a collaboration of global philanthropists dedicated to the treatment and prevention of neglected tropical diseases (NTDs) that affect more than 1.5 billion people worldwide, has partnered with Econet Wireless, Higherlife Foundation, and the Zimbabwean Ministry of Health and Child Care.

Millions of people in Zimbabwe received text messages regarding ongoing mass drug administration programmes for NTDs.

On 30 October, the Ministry of Health and Child Care launched a new campaign to treat people with one or more NTDs. These mass drug administration campaigns are used to provide treatment to large populations at risk.

More than seven million people have been targeted for treatment in 2017.
