Bmycharity to Bmyhero: fundraising website saved by merger

The fundraising website Bmycharity, which we reported last week (11 March) was facing closure, has been rescued by joining forces with the charity Help for Heroes. Bmycharity, which had failed to generate enough business sponsorship to cover its running costs, will be rebranded as Bmyhero over the coming weeks, but it will continue to function as it did previously and all existing accounts will be unaffected. Managing director and former Royal Marine Ben Brabyn said that the company had had several unexpected offers of help, including one from a lady who had volunteered to sell her house, and that he was very pleased with the latest development. Bryn Parry, CEO of Help for Heroes, said: ‘We admire the ethos of Bmycharity and feel that we are natural partners. We are delighted and hope that our supporters will be as well.’
