Charity independence issue overblown?

In many different countries, anxieties have been expressed that charities may be losing independence as a result of taking government money to deliver services. A new UK report suggests that this danger may have been exaggerated. Even though an increasing number of UK charities are taking state money for service delivery, the country’s voluntary and community sector does not see itself in danger of ‘government takeover’, says the new report.
