Developing family social investment

In order to stimulate family social investment in Latin America, Instituto para o Desenvolvimento do Investimento Social (Institute for the Development of Social Investment/IDIS) and Charities Aid Foundation (CAF) will hold the third of their Foundation School international courses in June and July. The course will be offered in three modules, two in São Paulo and one in Italy at the University of Bologna. The modules include: history, models and lessons learned in family social investment; strategic thinking for family social investment; practices and forms of action; family social investment administration; evaluating results and impacts; and the relationship of family investment with social transformation, research and public policies. The rationale for the course is that although family social investment is emerging in Latin America, it is still far from reaching its full potential.
