According to research by UK’s New Philanthropy Capital (NPC), although grantmaking trusts and foundations use reporting on results from charities in a number of different ways, more than a third do not provide funding for grantees to monitor and evaluate their work. However, How are you getting on?, launched last month, reveals that those grantmakers who do consistently fund monitoring and evaluation have higher expectations, and are therefore more disappointed with the information they receive.
