Entitled Human Security, Human Rights and the Shared Responsibility to Protect and billed as a Conversation between Elders and Emerging Leaders, the 7th Global Philanthropy Forum which took place in California in April brought together some 540 philanthropists, social entrepreneurs and celebrities in pursuit of what GPF’s Jane Wales, opening the Forum, described as ‘something to admire, something to emulate, and a reason to hope’.
