What is a social entrepreneur? asked my mother, with whom I stayed in Oxford while I went to the Skoll Forum. Someone who uses entrepreneurial means to achieve social ends, I volunteered, uselessly. So I answered by way of probably the most celebrated story of them all, that of Muhammad Yunus, founder of Grameen Bank.[1] One thing that became clear during the next three days was just how many different opinions and visions there are in this area.
