In his recent tour of Latin American, British pop star Elton John performed a series of benefit concerts in Venezuela, Colombia and Mexico. His first performance was in Bogotá on 29 January to benefit the Aprendiendo Para el Futuro (Learning for the Future) project by the Fundación Restrepo Barco (Restrepo Barco Foundation). This organization supports poor families through subsidies for housing construction in Cartagena, a Caribbean resort city located 650 km north of Bogotá.
