The first Guidestar Europe workshop took place in Budapest, Hungary, in June this year. Fifteen participants discussed the local circumstances for the adoption of GuideStar systems in Germany, Hungary, the Netherlands and Ireland; the strategies for creative local solutions to the challenges in each of the countries; and the vision for a Pan-European search facility. The workshop is part of the GuideStar Europe project, run by GuideStar International. The completion of the market analysis phase of the project is expected by the end of September and the market testing and Global Reporting Framework (GRF) are due by November 2007.
