The Telefónica company received the 2008 Latin America Award for Corporate Social Responsibility granted by the Foro Ecuménico Social de Argentina (Social Ecumenical Forum of Argentina) to companies whose aim is to strengthen CSR in a comprehensive way. Telefónica received the award for its contribution to the social, technological and economic progress of Latin America through investments in telecommunications infrastructure, job creation and development of community services.
