New programme to support social entrepreneurs

A new global professional development programme for social entrepreneurs was recently launched in India. Founded by Eric Archambeau, Charly Kleissner and Peter Wheeler, Social-Impact helps social entrepreneurs scale up their organizations by providing services such as mentoring, training, technical assistance, networking opportunities and access to finance.

Its website also includes profiles of the first group of social entrepreneurs in India. The pilot was launched in June this year with eight social entrepreneurs in Hyderabad. As the model proves itself, Social-Impact will look to replicate with local partners elsewhere in India and eventually elsewhere in the developing world.
