YES course on sustainability and social entrepreneurship to run in Colombia

Swiss organization ACTIS GmbH, which works on sustainability issues around the world, has launched a Youth Encounter on Sustainability (YES) Course on Sustainability through Social Entrepreneurship, to take place in Colombia in December. The course, which is designed for young leaders – social entrepreneurs and those starting their own projects – involved in sustainability issues, aims to equip participants with the skills to implement entrepreneurial solutions to sustainability challenges. The theme is a pilot one for the YES course, which runs several times a year in different locations in Latin America. The organizers hope to attract sufficient support to run a course on this theme annually in Colombia. The ACTIS faculty will facilitate the course, assisted by successful social entrepreneurs, business consultants and social investors from Latin America and Europe. The AVINA Foundation is acting as implementing partner for the Colombia course. The closing date for applications for the course is 4 October.
