In our new issue, we look in depth at philanthropy infrastructure which is guested edited by Benjamin Bellegy of  WINGS Maria Chertok from CAF Russia. We talk to Olivia Leland, the founding director of the Gates-Buffett Giving pledge and guiding force behind Co-Impact a major initiative to change systems and achieve ‘philanthropy at scale’. We profile pioneers of philanthropy infrastructure, feature the breadth of organisations serving philanthropy and the discuss the challenges facing the field. Lucy Bernholz at Stanford University highlights why philanthropy need to adjust to the digital revolution, while Jenny Hodgson in South Africa discusses the need for philanthropy to tap into and develop local structures and cultures of giving. Meanwhile David Bonbright makes the case for a better infrastructure for evaluating impact.
