Alliance editor Charles Keidan gives a special preview of the launch of March issue of our publication, focusing on diaspora philanthropy.

Guest edited by Mark Sidel of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, the feature looks in-depth at diaspora philanthropy with contributors from Pakistan, India, Kashmir, Ireland, Palestine among others. The feature explores the complexities of diaspora philanthropy and highlights the need for better data, careful attention, and greater scrutiny of this emerging phenomenon.

The issue profiles diaspora philanthropy in the context of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. It includes an exclusive interview with Palestinian diaspora philanthropist Omar Al Qattan, as well as taking a look at the Jewish philanthropists lending a hand to Israel.

Also to be found inside the pages of this issue of Alliance are an interview with twenty-nine year old philanthropist and founder of the Guerrilla Foundation, Antonis Schwarz, as well as new research from Dr Rob John on giving circles in Asia.

Alliance aims to hold up a mirror to philanthropy worldwide – we hope you enjoy the view.

Our forthcoming issue goes live on Tuesday 6th March 2018.
