As we have done for the last few years, Alliance has put together a team of bloggers to report from the European Foundation Centre’s 27th Annual General Meeting and Conference, to be held 26- 28 May in Amsterdam. The theme of this year’s conference is ‘Imagining and Investing in our Future’.

The conference will engage a diverse array of philanthropic actors to find solutions to the most urgent issues – including the refugee crisis – within Europe and around the world. In particular, delegates will get to grips with how inequality is in many ways the key challenge when ‘imagining our future’ and how it undermines our responses to the other global challenges we face. We are looking forward to an exciting conference packed with visionary plenaries, hands-on parallel sessions, site visits and evening events.

Our team this year includes some seasoned Alliance bloggers and some who haven’t blogged for us before:

  • Laura Sahamies, Kone Foundation
  • Kalle Korhonen, Kone Foundation
  • Valia Fragkou, TIMA Charitable Foundation
  • Dharmendra Kanani, EFC
  • Sara Miniucci, Compagnia di San Paolo
  • Nicky McIntyre, Mama Cash
  • Wendy Richardson, Gobal Fund
  • Natalie Ross, CoF
  • Thomas Legge, European Climate Foundation
  • Jen Bokoff, Foundation Centre
  • Tobias Troll, Edge Funders
  • Charles Keidan, Alliance magazine

Poll winner announced

Last week Alliance ran a poll asking our readers which session they would most like covered, and as promised we will be covering Philanthropy Engaged – implementing the sustainable development goals. Natalie Ross will bringing you her views on the session.

We look forward to sharing our impressions with you over the next few days and in the days following the conference.
