The Chandler Foundation has announced the appointment of award winning social entrepreneur Tim Hanstad as its CEO.

Tim Hanstad, will be responsible for leading the Chandler Foundation’s mission to promote inclusive prosperity and well-being. His appointment follows a rebranding of the organisation from the Cassia Foundation to the Chandler Foundation.

The Chandler Foundation is a global philanthropic organisation with over 20 years of experience in granting, social entrepreneurship, and programme management in diverse countries around the world. Through Co-Impact, a collaborative philanthropic initiative of which Mr. Chandler is a core partner, the foundation also partners with other philanthropists to accelerate systems change solutions to the world’s most complex social problems.

On the appointment of the foundation’s new CEO, Mr. Richard F. Chandler said: ‘Successful philanthropy requires both insight and execution. In this regard, Tim Hanstad, with his decades of work in the field leading high impact programmes, brings experience and a track record of integrity and success to the table. I believe that he is ideally suited to lead the Chandler Foundation as we pursue our dream of seeing a world flourishing with everyone’s creativity.’

Mr. Hanstad joins the Chandler Foundation from Landesa, an organisation working with governments, civil society, and businesses to secure opportunity for the world’s poorest people through legal land rights.
