The ERSTE Foundation’s supervisory board has announced the appointment of Mario Catasta as chair of the managaing board. Mario will be replacing the outgoing Bernhard Spalt who will succeed Andreas Treichl as CEO of the Erste Group.

Mario Catasta has been the Erste Group Bank’s director of internal audit since 2003. Previously, he was the head of the corporate client department at Erste Bank der österreichischen Sparkassen.
