Philanthropy with a gender perspective, a handbook that aims to enable donor organisations and individuals to reflect in depth on their policies, programmes, and forms of support, from ELLAS—Mujeres y Filantropía (Women and Philanthropy) has just been published in English.

The handbook was originally published in August 2022 in Spanish, authored by ELLAS Director Florencia Roitstein and ELLAS Coordinator Andrés Thompson. ELLAS hoped that the handbook would help funders and organisations learn to work more effectively on gender justice and democracy in Latin America and the Caribbean.

‘Gender mainstreaming should be part of the basic core competencies of 21st-century philanthropy’, said Roitstein in the report.
