Is our language fit for purpose?

I’ve been to some great sessions but this is a more general query:

Is our language fit for purpose? Does it help or hinder our thinking and practice? Should we institute regular language audits? Can you honestly say that  you know what would count as:

  • failing
  • taking risks
  • being responsive
  • partnership
  • social investment
  • sustainability
  • impact

If we aren’t really very clear about what these terms mean, are we any clearer about
whether they are always desirable?

The exact same thing has been on my mind. And I would add theterm "social justice". Despite being the theme, Increasingly in conversations and sessions I'm hearing very very different interpretations.
