The Asociación de Fundaciones Familiares y Empresariales, or Association of Family and Corporate Foundations in Colombia, has appointed Sandra Alzate as its new Executive Director. Alzate replaces Jaime Matute, who held the position for two years.

Alzate has two decades of broad experience in the public and private sectors creating and implementing policies and programmes for international cooperation and socioeconomic development.

‘The non-profit and foundational sector in Colombia have a lot to contribute in the structural discussion that Colombia and the world have to face in order to address this crisis. My job will be to encourage alliances within the sector along with public and private organisations to enhance a deeper impact and sustainability for our associates. We want to contribute to improve the lives of the most vulnerable people in Colombia’, Alzate said about her new role.
